His Go Diego Go! Backpack.

...first day of school!!! Nathan started school on Aug. 26th at Ravenwood. We talked with him about it but he doesn't fully understand. So we got there and he helped himself to the classroom. So, I thought cool he is fine and I left. When we got back 2 and half hours later we could tell he had been crying because his face was splotchy. The teacher said he did fine for about an hour and then he cried for the last hour and a half asking for Mom. The next day he clung to me when we got there so I had to just leave him crying with the teacher but, after a while the other kids had him laughing. The next day was the same. So that was the first week.



This week was a little different. Hunter took him Tues. and Wed. Hunter went in with him helped get his backpack off said goodbye and left. On Tues. he cried for about 5 minutes. On Wed. he cried for about 2 minutes. Today when I dropped him off, he went right in and got excited to see the other kids and looked at me and said "Bye." So I said cool, and left as quickly as possible. He followed me to the door and whimpered until the teacher got his hand a took him to the paint table. So today was Great until the fire alarm went off. He is very sensitive to loud sounds. Ms. Teri said that he got outside quickly and was fine until he saw the entire school outside and then he freaked out. After that he was up and down for the rest of the day. I think we will start putting him on the bus soon. Ms. Teri will work with him a little bit before by going out and getting on the bus for a few minutes and then back off to help get use to it.
